The shape and underglaze blue decorations of this vase are all taken from archiac bronze work, while the famille rose "boys at play" images evoke Qianlong imperial wares...

This is one of the most well painted Kangxi "flower basket" plates I've seen, in an excellent shade of Kangxi cobalt blue. Please compare with a similar "flower basket" plate in the British Museum (Franks.221).

This pair of cups belong to superior class of delicately enameled Yongzheng export wares. There's a bowl and saucer in the same pattern in the collection of King Augustus the Strong (see last photo).

Beautiful antique Chinese monochrome porcelain vase of baluster form, ox-blood glaze with white rim and underside. Age: Qing Dynasty (18th/19th century). Size: 13.75" height x 9" diameter.

This pair of wine cups are small but absolutely beautiful. The workmanship shows off the impeccable finesse with which Kangxi potters made their wares. The cobalt blue is true and vibrant, the painting bold, and the molded shape (two layers of lotus petals!) charming.

A large porcelain jar with original cover (and fitted wood stand) painted in Kangxi style in underglaze blue with flowering "prunus" branches. This item was made for export in the late 19th or early 20th Century, probably during the reign of the Guangxu emperor (1875-1908). Condition - excellent - no damages and no repairs or restoration...

A well modelled and painted glazed and "biscuit" figure of Budai made in China during the Republic period (1912-1949). On the base is the mark: Man Yi Sheng Zao - "Made by Man Yi Sheng". This item was brought to the UK by a Liverpool seaman during either the 1930s or 1940s. Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration...

A Rare found monochrome bowl with rounded side, covered overall with a deep green glazed. Ming dynasty 16th century in perfect condition. Diameter: 14 cm and High: 7.3 cm.

A fine,large and very rare eight sided documentary vase (with fitted wood stand) - decorated in Chinese scholar's taste and bearing two poems. The first, small poem on the neck of the vase, describes the under glaze blue painted picture on the reverse side. Roughly translated - "Fisherman looks across riverbank - there are Huang Yang trees. There are three roads leading home and he carries a 'dan' (two baskets with carrying yoke)...

An antique Chinese dehua (also known as blanc de chine) of a man riding a donkey-like animal. Unlike the normal subject matter often produced in dehua porcelain, the figure is not dressed in a Chinese manner, but in a European style. The back contains two seals: the gourd shaped seal reads: dehua and the square seal is possibly the artist name, which translates as: seal of Ke Qianzhong. Age: Late 19th -20th century. Size: height 12.75" width 5.25" length 8.75"
