Chinese Song dynasty conical form bowl with slightly flared rim covered in a pale blue-green qingbai (yingqing) glaze that stops at the flat, unglazed low foot. Fine comb incised abstract swirling patterns are faintly visible in the interior. Nearly 6 1/2” diameter x 2 3/8" high. Circa 13th century. Very good overall condition. There several tiny frits along the edge of the rim. From the estate of Gerhard Lohmeier, a Diplomat at the German Embassy in Beijing from 1985 to 1989.

Diameter of saucer "4/ 10,5 cm, of cup "2 ¼ / 6 cm, height of cup: "1 ½ / 3,6 cm. Condition: a chip to the foot rim of the cup and a smaller one to the outer rim of the saucer (cf. photos).
