Late Kangxi – Yongzheng period, Qing dynasty Porcelain with underglaze cobalt blue D: 22.7 cm / 8.9 in From a Northbrook, Illionois estate A pair of Kangxi-Yongzheng lotus-shaped blue and white dishes, freely painted with floral sprays in nine separate panels encircling a central field. Both dishes have very fine and luminous glaze. Condition report: Dish 1 is basically perfect with only slight wear to rim edges... Pair of large Chinese late Qing dynasty globular form jars with domed covers moulded in relief with cranes resting in a lotus pond among large flowering plants and leafy stems executed in susancai colors of green, yellow, and aubergine with black and white highlights. The domed covers are decorated with lotus flowers. The bases bear Wang Bing Rong seal marks in relief. 19th century. Measure about 9 1/2" high by about 8 1/2" diameter...

They feature a beautiful crackle glaze with a polychrome scene depicting warriors in the Battle of the 3 Kingdoms. These jars were last used as a antique decorative item on top of a diminutive slant top writing desk in a NYC Park Avenue Apartment before the family retired to NC.

SOLD Antique Chinese pair of yellow glaze bowls with incised flying dragons and clouds of smoke along its outer edges, and a single dragon within double rings on the inside center. Wonderful crackling in the glaze is most apparent near the rim and the foot of each bowl. The bottom of each bowl has a Xuande period mark, but most likely dates from the 19th century Ching Dynasty.

Glazed with a turquoise color ground incised with a flower motif, the front and back of each vase is decorated with two highly raised dragons and swirling clouds in a yellow glazed medallion reserve. Each vase has dragon handles and the ground is decorated with applied objects of scholarly pursuits. Bases impressed with a Quinlong mark but these vases are 19th century.
