Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Qingbai Glazed Porcelain Covered Jar

This attractive small covered jar was made during the 13th / 14th Century (Song / Yuan Dynasty). It is coated inside and out in a pale Qingbai type of glaze that is very finely-crackled. The colour of the glaze varies a little, appearing slightly paler to the cover and inner surface of the jar. The cover has a carved pattern to give it the appearance of a tiled roof; this jar represents a granary.

Chinese Song dynasty five-petal foliate form bowl covered in a pale creamy-celadon qingbai (yingqing) glaze that stops above the unglazed flat base. The glaze is thicker and more of a celadon color where is drips down from the top edge into the interior. Circa 13th century. 6” diameter x 1 7/8” high. Good overall condition. There are a few tiny nicks to the unglazed edge and there are glaze losses to the outer edge that might have occurred in the kiln...

Fine comb incised abstract swirling patterns are faintly visible in the interior. 6 5/8” diameter x 2 1/2" high. Circa 13th century. Good overall condition. Chinese Song dynasty shallow bowl covered in a pale finely crackled gray-green qingbai (yingqing) glaze that stops at the unglazed slightly recessed low foot. The exterior is decorated with carved and/or moulded petal forms. Measures just over 6” diameter x 1 3/4" high. Circa 13th century. Very good overall condition.
