Fine Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue & White Conical Covered Porcelain Box (Ex. Lammers Collection)

This attractive small round porcelain box of rare and unusual form was made during the Wanli reign (1573 - 1620) of the Ming Dynasty. The underglaze blue decoration is of a particularly good colour. The decoration to the conical cover comprises two chilong dragons. The lower section is decoration with a floral pattern.

Chinese late Ming dynasty porcelain guan form jar with wide shoulders tapering to a flat, unglazed base decorated in underglaze blue with lotus flowers and scrolling foliage on a white ground. A short, cylindrical neck ends with an applied light brown wash at the rim. The interior is fully glazed. A luting line is faintly visible at the waist and can be seen and felt on the inside. Ming Dynasty (1368-1643) Chinese blue and white porcelain baluster form vase with wide trumpet mouth decorated with a blue prunus motif. 9 1/2"H. Excellent condition. The irregular edge of the base is the typical result of the removal of the vase from the kiln. It is not a condition problem.

Ming Dynasty Blue and White Bowl with a floral design. Note flaws at time of manufacture and small chip in the glaze, otherwise no chips or cracks and in overall good condition. Diameter is 10 inches and height is 2.75 inches.

A mille fleur porcelain dish decorated with various types of flora. Extreme care and detail is given to each flower and fruit painted on the dish. The dish contains an inscription on the bottom reading: Jiaqing Nianxing. Age: Late 19th century. Size: height 2.5" diameter 9.3"

Chinese meiping porcelain vase with blue and white design of scrolling vines, flowers and 5 dragons. Narrow at the base, tapering outward with high, wide shoulders and very narrow neck. A band of waves decorates the neck and foot. Meiping vases are traditionally used to display flowering plum branches. Quinlong reign mark on the bottom in blue.

A Chinese Longquan glazed dish decorated with overlapping upright petals on the exterior wall. Southern Song Dynasty - 12th/13th century. The glaze is of grayish olive-green color, one side is darker than the other side on the exterior wall. The dish is in excellent antique condition with normal glaze scratches. There is one glaze contraction spot on inside bottom of the dish, and a few tiny ones on the outside. please see photos for details. Diameter: 5-1/8". (Wood stand is not for sale)
