A Yuan Dynasty octagonal "belimbing shaped" jarlet which most likely represents the so far best existing piece of its kind. Please look in any private - or Museum collection and you will not find a better example. A jarlet of octagonal ( belimbing ) shape, decorated with splashed iron brown spots and a Qingbai ( Yingqing ) glaze over a porcelain body. The flat base unglazed. Yuan Dynasty 1279 - 1368. From our Chinese Blue and White Collection, an absolutely superb Kangxi Mark and Period Charger, 1662-1722, depicting an elegant lady in a garden pavilion tending to a lit censer while her servant stands adjacent with a ruyi-shaped fan. An egret flies overhead and two rabbits sit in the foreground beneath a banana leaf plant. On the outer rim, there are four cartouches of other elegant ladies interspersed with four cartouches of flowering plants, all separated by key fret reserves...

Description:

A Jiangyang Temmoko bowl was decorated with radiating russet splashes on the surface.
It was a rare type of this kind in Jiangyang wares.
Enduring old crackles were yielded naturally in the glaze when retrospective sheen was reflected on the surface.
It was used to be coated on the mouth rim with silver band. The silver band had long gone and only left with the residues around.
The bowl was kept in perfect condition without any restorations...

Well potted brush washer with incised decoration and glazed with a nice, glossy, pale-blue Qingbai glaze. The base of the dish full covered with glaze like we do know this from some Ding ware dishes. A Chinese Celadon Glazed Bowl with a Carved Lotus Decoration. Circa, 12th Century, Fujian, Minnan Kilns, Song Dynasty. Found in the Philippines. Its tall walls are supported by a straight foot and is adorned with a carved lotus decoration. It is covered overall in a light brown-green celadon glaze, except for the base. Similar bowls that have been dated to the 12th century and attributed to the Minnan Kilns were found in the Jepara Wreck (A.D. 1150-1175) in Indonesia...

An archaic style vase with crackle-glaze and simulated metal mounts. On the base is the apocryphal mark of the 15th Century (Ming) Chenghua emperor but this item was made much later , in the 19th Century, probably during the reign of the Tongzhi emperor (1862-1874) when this style was first introduced. A Yaozhou water dropper was presented in perfect condition.
The glaze condition was very good except some incursions had been happened to the rim of the venting hole and the beak-like mouth.
Amusingly found at the bottom, there were three padding clays were still adhered without being removed.
It was really rare to find an ancient porcelain ware which was solely for scholar use.

This is a very rare and highly desirable Changsha kiln 9th century Tang Dynasty bird water dropper. Usually these are characterized by such components such as under-glazed yelow-brownish and green motifs with molded design in relief, appliqué designs or impressed designs in relief and also incised or carved designs. The unique feature of the water dropper is the olive/brown glaze that is more like yue ware, but the paste and glaze is actually one of the rarest Changsha kiln products that exist...
