Magnificent antique Chinese Wucai procaine large baluster vase, 17th century, transitional period, circa 1650.

The vase is decorated to the body with finely hand-painted four large lobed panels with a band of Ruyi heads, all reserved against a trefoil ground of iron red.

Each panel encloses figures in landscape scenes...

Description:

A celadon ewer or water dropper was intriguingly mold as chicken pot.
By cute-looking spout and simple-form wings, the porcelain pot was applied with glass-sheen glaze all over the surface.
On the unglazed bottom, the dense-feel clay was revealed and was with adhesives of burial earth.
Crackles and abrasions were resulted from incursions too.
It was kept in very fine condition...

A very beautiful jar of Guan form, decorated in underglaze cobalt - blue with a classic scroll and a continuous chrysanthemum scroll set between horizontal lines. A quite rare square shaped bowl decorated with flower to each side and inside is plain with obviously Qingbai tone. Xuande six characters mark and possibly of the period. Ming Dynasty 15th Century in very good condition, no any chip, no any crack and free from any restoration excepted a bit fritting to the mouth rim. Description:

A high-footed Qingbai censer was in decent form.
By flat mouth rim. the censer was stand with floral stem foot.
In characteristic lake-green tint, the glaze was suffused with whitish incursions when frets were observed on the ridges of the floral patterns.
Characteristic and darken firing effects were yielded on the body clay inside the stem foot.

Date: Northern Song Dynasty, 11th/12th century.

Height: 14.8cm, Diam: 12.6cm.

The Chinese porcelain dish has a border of two repeating elements, a garlanded ruyi and three interlinked rings. The centre of the dish depicts a Chinese landscape with two scholars approaching a solitary angler. The dish was made for the Japanese where such pieces were used and much appreciated in the tea ceremony, at a time when the Japanese porcelain industry was in its infancy.
