A small underglaze blue decorated stem dish painted inside with three 17th/18th Centuty style cranes and outside with three bats. The stem is decorated with buddhist knots and stylized plantain leaves. To the inside of the base is the four character mark of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722) but this item was probably made later, during the 19th Century. Condition - there are two repairs to the rim, each with an associated short hairline. No further damages or restoration...

Large Chinese Qing dynasty celadon charger decorated in the interior with a carved scrolling peony motif. Late 19th century to circa 1900. 15 1/2” diameter x 2 5/8” high. Heavily potted and in very good overall condition. There are some original crazing and production flaws to the interior. From a North Scottsdale, Arizona collection. The main Chinese ceramic for export in the 13th to 14th centuries was the Longquan celadon of Zhejiang province. Glazed in monochrome green, Longquan-type wares have been found in archaeological sites around the world...

This piece had been imported to Japan in 14th century by "Tenryu-ji ship", and so called "天龍寺青磁 Tenryu-ji celadon" in Japan. It has peony pattern carved at the inner and outside surface, and fretwork pattern at the inner rim. Certification: by Noriki Shimazu the famous researcher with Asian antiques in Japan.
