Late Qing dynasty Porcelain with molded relief & celadon glaze h: 23 cm Perfect condition (the tiny, shallow chip to inner footrim is practicaly nothing) From a MA, USA collection This vase is of a fine, stately hexagonal shape, molded with archaic kuilong designs reminiscent of ancient Chinese bronze work. The celadon glaze is delicate in its greenish-blue shade, and quite thick. The paste is also quite good for 19th century. A Chinese wucai sleeve vase, late Ming dynasty, Chongzheng, brightly painted with Buddhistic lions among peony. Height 26.5 cms. Good condition.
