Condition: there is a repaired 1/2" long shallow chip on the rim, please see photos #4 and #5 for the inside and outside views of the repair; there are a few other very tiny glaze flakes on the rim and have been repaired, a newer layer of gilt was applied to the rim. Diameter: 9".

$850.00 Large Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - 9 AD) hu form earthenware jar with a flaring mouth embellished with a wide raised collar. The chalky painted mineral pigment decoration on this type of jar was designed to imitate the inlaid decoration on Chinese bronze vases. According to the Metropolitan Museum, the swirling cloud-like designs covering the vessel are thought to represent celestial mists through which the deceased would travel to join the immortals. Dates circa 1st century B.C...

$2800.00 A Chinese porcelain dish decorated with famille verte enamel. The center of the dish is decorated with two birds in a garden amidst peony and pine beneath a ruyi border. The wide, everted rim is decorated with phoenixes and peonies on a stippled ground, beneath the molded 'pie-crust' edge. Condition: one small and shallow chip on the back of a corner, please see photo #4, and some flakes on the foot rim. No more flaw other than these. Diameter:14-1/2".

$375.00 A large 10 inch Chinese celadon porcelain plate beautifully painted in polychrome enamels featuring a bird, insects, butterflies, and flowers. The painting was well executed by an artist who had a good eye for design. In very good antique condition, there is one fine hairline measuring .75" or 1.9 cm. and 1 fleabite. Marked on the back, it dates Tongzhi Period (1862-74).

This beautiful Paste Ink box was auctioned as one of the "Hatcher Shipwreck Collection" sale in June 1984 in Amsterdam by Christie's. Red round small label by Christie's is still attached on the bottom...
Chinese Blue and White Porcelain rectangle shape scholar's Covered Box, Ca. 1880-1920, 1 3/8" high, 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" wide, underglaze Bird's face with scrolling vines in the center within geometric design border. Lot of Chinese Character writings are inside the box, on the bottom and also under the top, bottom is glazed. The condition is good.

There are etched Chinese Characters written inside the bottom of the box and also under the cover. The dome top cover is wrapped a little, doesn't fit tightly...

$250.00 Chinese underglaze Porcelain Blue and White Tea Jar, 18th century, 4 1/2", 1 3/4" diameter-top rim, 2 1/2" diameter-bottom rim, 4 1/4"w-widest area, underglaze blue design of Lotus sprouting upward from the water in the pond, interlocking with precious Chinese symbols, unglazed bottom rim and top. The bottom shows the double underglaze Blue circles. The condition is good, no damages or restorations.
Chinese Tang dynasty (618-907) pottery figure of a standing lady (often referred to as a “fat lady”), dressed in a long-sleeved, high-waisted, full-length robe. One boat-shaped shoe protrudes from the bottom of the robe. The sleeve of her gown covers her right hand while the left hand is exposed. Her hair is gathered in a double-topknot at the top of her head. Cold painted red pigment remains over the thin layer of white slip covering the red pottery...
Rarely encountered Chinese Tang dynasty (618-907) pottery figure of a court gentleman (often referred to as a “fat man”) wearing a scarf hat and dressed in a long, belted gown with one arm raised, his hand covered by his voluminous sleeve, and the other hand holding the belt. An acrylic stand is included. 14 1/4” high (excluding stand). Circa 7th to 8th century. Very good overall condition with nice detailing. From an Arizona collection. Purchased in Hong Kong in 1996.
