A rare and large 'Fahua' ware temple vase with thickly potted, with main decorated of a pair of Phoenix flight among clouds below lotus stiff leaf and Ruyi pattern. Attached two horizontal dragon handle with associated rings. Lower part with waves pattern and precious emblems to foot. Rich composite of yellow, turquoise, white, aubergine on dark blue ground glazed. Condition is perfect without any chips, no crack and free from any restoration. A Ming dynasty possibly 16th century tea-bowl, decorated with floral spray. Very good condition, with no any chip, no crack and free from any restoration. Please compare to the tea-bowl at Metropolitan Museum visible on the last enlargement. Diameter: 8,6 cm and Height: 5 cm.

One of the best pieces of his work is this 40 year old Tenmoku Tea Bowl of Wong Ching Chuen, the famous Chinese artist, potter and well known collector of Japanese and Chinese ceramics.

It shows perfectly the peak of his skill in throwing high sophisticated Tenomoku bowls. Mint condition - no cracks or repairs. It comes with its originally signed and sealed wooden box.

H. 14,5 cm. One side decorated with a landscape with figures, the other side with flowers. Condition: firing crack in the neck, age cracks in the glaze. Comes with the original Christie's sticker, the original certificate and the invoice from 1992. The Vung Tau sank in 1690 on its way from China to Batavia, Indonesia. The cargo was meant for Amsterdam. The wreck was found in the early 90's and it's content was auctioned at Christie's Amsterdam in 1992...

Dehua porcelain, more traditionally known in the west as Blanc de Chine, is a type of white Chinese porcelain, made at Dehua in the Fujian Province. It as been produced from the Ming Dynasty to the present day.

This large Chinese porcelain Dehua figure is of the Goddess of Compassion, Quan Yin. Her draped robes show well rendered, realistic modeling. A willow sprig peeks out from under her headdress...

Chinese late Ming dynasty Wanli period Zhangzhou (Swatow) porcelain deep dish decorated in underglaze blue on a white ground with a roundel at the center holding a phoenix bird standing on a rock under trees in a landscape.
