SOLD Chinese Neolithic tripod earthenware ewer (gui) of the Dawenkou culture (4th-3rd millennium BCE) meant for use in religious ceremonies. The vessel has a flared, upwards pointing mouth with a single ribbed handle on its back, ribbing along the body's edges, and its tripod legs are dramatically tapered to the feet.

Condition: Most of the green glaze is gone and there is an old repair break around the head. See photos.

$2,400.00 A very unusual & original Han well with the "jing" design, symbol for well and two intertwined snakes for the handle. There is some iridescence at the bottom of the base of the green glaze from age. Green glaze was used to make it look like bronze. Size: H. 30.5cm W.16cm.
Condition: Very small repair on the underside of the rim, otherwise in very good condition. See photo.

$6,800.00 A very rare white porcelain Song qingpai ewer with a clear pale bluish glaze. The body and shoulder of the vase have skillfully executed free-flowing scraffiato designs of florals and leaves. The tall cylindrical neck is encircled at the base by two horned dragons whose heads meet at the spout. The grooved loop handle is further decorated with eight small balls. The glaze pools in some areas creating a beautiful light watery blue...
Height approximately 20.5 cm. Repaired.
Height approximately 22.5 cm. There are several parts not completed. Repaired.

Condition: Very nice glaze. No repairs. A fine kiln crack around the bottom unglazed area that does not go through the inside.
