A charming late 19th C. Chinese tea cup and saucer, displaying the traditional dragon and other design elements. The hollowed transparent holes are covered with glaze to form the ever popular rice pattern. Various symbols such as the sunburst represent the Emperor and bats for good fortune, on the underside of the teacup are various Doaist symbols. Tea cup measures 2.75" diameter x 2" high, saucer measures 4" diameter x 1" high". In excellent condition without hairlines or chips.

There is some expected age related wear to the gold, but otherwise in good condition, no chips, no cracks, no hairlines, it measures 5" high x 5" diameter (7" across if including the spout). Chinese Republic period Yixing stoneware tripod censer with compressed globular form body and upright handles on two sides decorated in relief around the circumference with two four-clawed dragons chasing a pearl encircled with circular form shou characters. A pair of bats chasing a similar flaming pearl is on the back. A ruyi border encircles the top shoulder below an upright neck. The three cabriole legs extend from animal head masks...

Chinese Republic period baluster form porcelain vase decorated in famille rose enamels with three large bird and flower roundels spaced evenly around the shoulder. The roundels feature two birds, two ducks, and two quail set among bamboo and flowering plants. A variety of pastel flowers float against the pale yellow graviata ground which is incised with a tight scrolling foliage pattern. The rim and the roundels are thinly bordered in gilt...

Chinese Blanc de Chine Quan Yin seated on a resting elephant. Quan Yin, goddess of great compassion, is holding 2 lotus flowers, one of which is broken symbolizing a broken spirit. She is holding both pieces of the stem in her hand. The lotus symbolizes purity, spiritual enlightenment, and in this case, new beginnings or rebirth. Excellent detailing and in excellent condition, it dates end of 2nd quarter 20th century. Measures 7.5ʺ wide × 4.5ʺ deep × 12ʺ high.

Eggshell or semi-eggshell Chinese vase of baluster shape, Qianlong sealmark in red but probably early 20th Century, Republic period. Decoration of a (mythical?) scene with a rider dismounting his horse and approaching a kneeling lady, all superbly painted in the Famille rose palette.Height "5½/ 14 cm. Condition: cracked and restored (cf. photos).

Chinese early Republic period porcelain bowl decorated in famille rose enamels against a turquoise ground with a magpie bird perched on a limb surrounded by wisteria, peony flowers, and scrolling vines. To the left of the bird is a red “Dayazhai” (Abode of Great Refinement) hallmark. To the left of this mark is a small red oval panel holding two dragons and the script “Tian di yi jia chun” (“Heaven and earth are united as one family in spring”)...
