Tall Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period baluster form floor vase decorated in underglaze blue against a faintly celadon-gray tinted white background with a phoenix bird standing on rockery among flowers. Two applied handles are at the neck. 22 3/8" high. Late 19th century. Very good overall condition. There are fine old hairline cracks to the base. She stands in bare feet holding a bronze colored vase in her right hand and is dressed in a flowing robe with a veil. A beaded necklace adorns her neck.
