A fan painting painted in the style of or attributed to famous Chinese artist Zhu Zhiqan dated 1961

Chinese landscape painting of a mountain pavilion nestled in among twisting pines, a river winds it's way through the rocks creating two waterfalls - one in the upper left of the composition and the other in the lower right below the pavilion, all done black ink on paper, signed Zhao Tsungwu, early to mid 20th century. Provenance: from the estate of the late actor James Coburn. Size of art only: 37 3/4" high x 19 1/4" wide.

Chinese Landscape Scroll on paper with ink and pigments with calligraphy set in upper left corner and lovely misty mountainous scene of hut set in forest with travelers crossing bridge. Size of picture: 39" high x 19" wide, overall: 72" high x 28" wide. Two seals and signature of artist. Republic Period.

Charming Chinese Ming Dynasty painting of a pair of cats sitting under a branch of blossoming peonies. The larger of the two cats, a calico, has his eyes fixed on a butterfly. The other cat, a wild eyed tabby, crouches with a large spider in his mouth. Wonderfully painted with great detail and whimsy. Mineral colors and ink on silk with silk mounting (was once a scroll). There is a chop in the lower left hand corner...

Pair of massive Chinese Buddha scrolls, Buddha dressed in flowing red robe with blue hair and usnisa, displaying different hand mudras for each. Partial chop on lower left margin,18th-19th century, worn and old repairs, new mounting for tops reinforced bottom, wood scroll ends. Size 12' L 5' W each

Chinese landscape painting with two literati figures riding a boat and enjoying the scenery. The work is titled: Guan Lushan, or View Mt. Lu. The inscription reads: Painted around late spring of 1918 following the style of Wen Hengshan. Signed: Longcheng Jushi, Huang Shanshou. Seal also reads the artist's name. (Wen Hengshan was a noted painter during the Ming dynasty). Age:Early 20th century. Size: Height: 10.5" Width: 21.75"

Used antique Chinese inkstone with a carving of a peach at its most shallow point. Peaches are said to be heavenly fruit that promote longevity. Chinese ink on paper painting of fish and shrimp by Qi Liangmo (b. 1938). Titled and signed at the upper left Qi Liangmo, the 7th son of Qi Baishi, in black ink and with two red seals reading “Qi Liangmo” and “Baishi’s 7th son.” 20th century. 27” x 13 1/2.” Unframed. Very good, clean condition with some minor discoloration of the background evident. There is a vertical center fold and some wrinkling of the fine paper. From a Phoenix, Arizona collection...

A refined Chinese framed landscape painting showing a view during the evening. The tradition began during the Song Dynasty with literati landscapes. In the succeeding centuries, different artists produced these landscapes echoing poems by Li Bai or Guqin tunes. The landscape painting was done by an artist named, Tzuyue. A Chinese hanging scroll portraying a group of lotuses set in a marsh-like environment with a butterfly flying over the flowers. The work contains a seal and signature of the noted artist, Qi Baishi (1864-1957). Qi Baishi became famous through his independent studies in Chinese painting and his energetic brush strokes and styles evolved Chinese art in the 20th century. Chinese hand scroll portraying a hunting scene attributed to, Jin Tingbiao (~1767). Four hunters with four horses are gathered in this scene either preparing a hunting party or finishing one. Views of hunting, known as shoulie wenwutu were first seen from the Yuan dynasty and succeeding dynasties continued to paint various renditions. Comes in a beautifully carved box.
