A Ming dynasty 16th century Jiajing period polychrome saucer dish, decorated at the interior with reversed green of flower branch medallion in the center and diaper pattern around mouth rim. The exterior with continuously chrysanthemum scrolls, underglaze blue square mark within double circle to base. Diameter: 13cm.

A very rare Ming Dynasty, Chenghua period porcelain Minyao ( peoplesware )bowl with an underglaze blue Chenghua Palace bowl motif. ( 1465 - 1487 ).The design of this bowl is based on 'palace bowls' with Chenghua reign marks, of which an example in the Ataka Collection is illustrated by T. A fine and rare MING DYNASTY JARLET with craquelé light brown glaze and splashes of blue and white glaze here and there. The base is also glazed except for the resting ring on the base. Found in the MUSI RIVER, close to Palembang City, which was the Capital of the SRIVIJAYA KNGDOM and which had a vast trade network with China and Siam. Condition overall good, one inconsequential chip on the lip of the top ring. Size:height 13 cm x 13 cm. diameter at the center. Rare Collector's item!
