Fukagawa 4 7/8 inch diameter ice cream bowl with everted rim. Iris decoration from Chuji Fukagawa's own 19th century design book. Blue underglaze and red, yellow and gold overglaze enamel decoration. Japanese black lacquered paper mache box for storing tea. Holding a teapot, the figure's face and hands appear to be bone or ivory. Measures 5.5" x 2.75".

An old Japanese saki storage bottle in good condition except for some manufacturing flaws which only add to its character and charm. They include firing cracks on the rim, a spot where it touched another bottle in the kiln, and some loss at the base which may have also happened during firing. These type of saki bottles were used as everyday ware by Japanese people and were not made for export. Desired by collectors they also make excellent vases...

One Japanese blue and white porcelain dish. Shonsui style decoration in roundels of birds in branches with berries and of peonies, all centered by geometric decoration along the inside of the foliate rim. The back with similar decoration of roudels, blue and white band decoration above the foot rim centering a four character mark within a blue ring. Good condition. Diameter, 7 1/2 inches. Ca 1900/early 20th century...

Japanese miniature black Raku Tea Bowl or Chawan in signed wooden box, Ca. 1980, the tea bowl measures 1 3/8" high, 2 1/8" diameter-top rim, impressed mark "Raku near the bottom and also top and inside the box, enclosed the paper information of the area of the kiln and how they made. Kiln crack on the white clay area where the impressed mark is located, but not on the black glaze inside the bowl.

An Arita blue & white porcelain dish decorated with a pavilion and poetry, an equestrian and servant in the foreground. The dish is moulded with a shallow ‘rinka’ edge. The back is plain and has three spur marks within the foot-rim.

An identical dish is illustrated in the Shibata Collection Vol.4, #303 where it is dated to 1770~1800.

Approximately 18 cm diameter. The dish has some light wear from normal use, plate stacking for example, but is otherwise in fine condition...

Japanese Kiri wood Serving Tray with two(2) open handles on both sides, 18" x 12" wide, 1 3/4" high, very nice condition in original paper box.

A six sided Japanese porcelain Imari dish with a blue and green dragon design on the front, and a blue and white bat design on the back. The plate measures about 10 1/2" in diameter x 2" high, and dates to the early 19th Century. There is a makers' mark on the foot. The condition is excellent with surface and foot rim wear commensurate with age. The asking price includes shipping within the USA

Japanese Imari Porcelain covered Bowl, Ca. 1920, 3 1/4" high with cover, 4 5/8" diameter-top rim, three(3) large Chinese Character "Dragon" within three(3) cartouches wrapped around with three(3) flying Dragons, typical Imari colors, red, green, gold on top of the underglaze blue in deep red background on the entire bowl and cover outside. Underglaze blue Chinese Character on top of the cover and bottom on white background...

An early 20th century souvenir photo album entitled "The Ceremonies of a Japanese Marriage". with green woven silk boards and nineteen hand coloured photographs with explanatory text.

On the final page "Published by Tamamura, Photographer, Kobe, Japan" and in Japanese,"published in the 38th year of Meiji (1905). . ...

The size of Koro: 5 7/8" Long x 4 3/16" Wide x 7 3/4" High. This is beautiful Japanese Shaku (Jue) Koro by Shou. Koro was made by same type fine quality crackle glaze earthen ware as Kyoto Awata Yaki or Kyoto Satsuma pieces. The Koro has intricately made with work around the body. The condition of Koro excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline except noting one repaired spot on one of leg as two close up photo showing. The leg was snapped off cleanly at the side way...
