Japanese woodblock print depicting an actor portraying a samurai by Kuniteru II (1829-1874), published by Daikokuya Heikichi (Shojudo) in 1867. The paper measures about 14 5/8"V x 10 1/4"H. The print is in very good overall condition with good impression quality and color. There are lacquer highlights in the black areas and mica at the top. There is an ample margin on the left and top. The paper is fine, the print is not backed, and the image is clearly visible on the reverse...

A beautiful example of a sweet meat or pastry dish used in the Japanese tea ceremony; the rich and heavy handed design adds color and depth, yet it is restrained for a pleasant afternoon cup of tea with a light snack. You can almost envision the ceremony with the open sliding doors overlooking the garden as you are being served. This dish measures 10.25” square x 1.75” deep.

A beautifully gold accented imari small dish from old Japan, detailed and profusely decorated with tendrils and flora with a well painted mythical Kylin; the contrast is simply stunning and well defined, condition is excellent and the enamels well preserved, minor glaze imperfection on the backside, but hardly worth mentioning save for accuracy sake, we date this beauty to the Meiji period pre-1900. Measurements: 10.16 cm diameter (4 inches)

- Oda Hironobu was born in 1888. His prints were produced in very small quantities and are rare. The colors in the hills would be at home in a California/Western woodcut.

A very well painted and delightful Kutani tea caddy, perfect condition and has its original inner cap lid still intact also in perfect condition. It measures 11 cm (4.3 inches) high and dates pre-1920, circa 1912-15.

A lovely Japanese cloisonne cosmetic box designed with flowers and gold tone flecks. It is in excellent condition and begs a new home. Measures 3.5" diameter by 2.25" high. Circa 1900

A Fukagawa porcelain 8 7/8 inch soup bowl. Iris decoration from Chuji Fukagawa's own 19th century design book. Blue underglaze and red, yellow and gold overglaze enamel decoration. Mt. Fuji mark and Fukagawa Sei inside the foot ring. Late Meiji or early Taisho. Good condition. Priced for each soup bowl, there were five available in good condition when listed. A Japanese totai ceramic plate with butterflies on a turquoise ground. Signed on bottom Kinkozan and in very good condition without any damage, no hairlines, no chips, it measures 7.25 inches diameter. Meiji Era. We have a 2nd plate in same butterfly pattern available.

Original Japanese kabuki actor color woodblock print by artist Toyohara Kunichika, 1835 – 1900. Beautifully framed and matted measuring 17" x 22", the print site size is 9.75" x 13.5". Any streaking is reflection from the glass. Print does not appear to have any condition issues.

Vintage black silk woman's short jacket with playful shi-shi lions woven with gold and red lacquered threads. Though a formal jacket, this haori also looks great worn casually with a pair of slacks or jeans. In excellent condition, it dates late Showa.
