A Japanese woodblock print titled "Nikko Sacred Bridge"by renowned artist Tsuchiya Koitsu (1870-1949). Inscription and red seal in bottom corner. Born in 1870 near Hamamatsu City (Shizuoka Prefecture) with the name"Sahei." Koitsu moved to Tokyo at the age of fifteen. He had planned to apprentice with Matsuzaki, a carver for the artist Kobayashi Kiyochika, but instead, he became Kiyochika's apprentice and moved into his home to study art and print design...

Antique Japanese chop case made of boxwood and carved with a beautiful lady. The Inside of the box is still coated with powdered orange-red seal ink, at the base of the box is a semi circular bead made of amber, the top of the box is closed with a bead of bone and a smaller one of coral, the toggle is the shell of a cone snail, the sea creature hunts with a venomous barb. Dovetail joint around the back corners, wood shrinkage on top and side, shows the wears and tears, all original condition.

Small compact vase of irregular shape on a wide foot. Brown clay with white mineral and tiny pebble inclusions typical for Shigaraki and Iga ware, with green and white ash glaze over cross hatched pattern on the shoulder.
A small metal loop on the shoulder in the back to hang the vase from a beam in the tokonoma.
