Yoko has created a unique technique whereby she combines glass and porcelain. It is roughly 7.5 cm (3 inches) diameter and in perfect condition, directly from the artist this summer.
Tanaka Yoko was born in Kanagawa prefecture in 1983, and graduated the design course of Tama Art University in 2007...

Sold A pair of sometsuke underglaze blue san kaku-gata choku, three sided cups, decorated with contrasting patterns of a pair of "Dutch" figures set against a diaper brocade ground, a scene of Chinese boys, karako, one playing with a standard, the other holding a double gourd form tokkuri, and an auspicious kara hana (literally Tang flower) inset within an arabesque of kara-kusa (Tang grasses) painted in kakiwake style.
This form of cup is rare and apparently only occurs with this pattern...

One made of silver alloy in the "bira-bira" style, showing a blossom with tiny coral beads forming the center and attached butterflies. The second one is a "tama" kanzashi with pierced mixed metal ball showing floral decoration. Both ending in a mimikaki (ear spoon). Condition: the first one with missing butterflies. The second one with minimally bent prongs and little wear. Dimension: 17 cm and 16 cm long.

Sold A good Nabeshima dish from the Nabeshima clan’s Okawachi kiln of oval boat shaped form, perhaps inspired by the boat shaped ingots, sychee or yuanbao, and decorated with an auspicious pattern of a pair of Goldfish swimming amongst water weeds. This particular pattern and shape belongs to a group of wares that were approved by the Shogun Ieharu in 1774 and were produced throughout the late Edo period for the consumption of the Shogunate.
