Hanten with sashiko (quilting) which is made in Shonai in Yamagata prefecture in Tohoku District, which is made of hand-spun cotton and vegetable indigo dye. It has 2 layers of cloth with sashiko. The collar cloth is also hand-spun and vegetable indigo dye cotton with stripes. In excellent condition. The first half of the 20th century. W:88cm, L:75cm

This is a children's hakama from the Edo period (1800-1867). Designed with thick katazome stencil dyeing. It is a very beautiful and soft cotton. This is a Japanese antique indigo stencil dyed thick cotton kimono from the Meiji period (1868-1912) with a rare weave. It is a very beautiful indigo stencil dyeing. There is a thin stain. It has one small hole, but is in very good condition. Made from hand-spun cotton and naturally dyed. Size: Length 140cm (55.1inch) Sleeve to sleeve: 123cm ( 48.4inch) Box.2

Cotton futonji made of hand-spun cotton and vegetable indigo dye. It has tsutsugaki auspicious motifs such as crane, turtle, plum blossom, bamboo and pine tree. Tsutsugki technique is excellent. In good condition but has a mending patch causing the lacking part of design and re-sawn by machine, a mending patch and also a snag (2cm) in the upper part. 19th century. W:130cm, L:186cm

Hemp furoshiki with tsutsugaki tai (sea bream) and bamboo design, whose wefts and warps are hand plied. The family crest is Maruni-Katabami-Mon. Katabami is perennial plant, named oxalis. Hand-sewn but both hems are machine sewn. The sewing machine was already imported in late Edo period and probably it was used widely in Meiji period (1868∼1912). In good condition except for a few spots. Meiji period. Made in Kyushu. W:95cm, L:110cm
