Markings include Hasui's red chop and signature, Watanabe publisher seal in left margin (dated 1931-1941), titled in right margin.

$1250.00 This is a very fine small Japanese cloisonne vase done in the style of early Namikawa cloisonne pieces. This vase like Namikawa works has butterflies, high sheen mottled enamels and gilt wires. Even so we believe it was probably made by Honda. This heavy piece stands 4 3/4 inches and the condition is nearly mint.

Old working key included to unlock the front door to reach two drawers within. The top has raised edges with iron braced holes to securely carry the box.

Bears the black 6 mm seal, indicating a lifetime edition printed between 1946-1957. Condition: Excellent front. On the back, two pieces of tape at margins and light toning.

A very unusual jar covered in crinkled metallic green glaze with a wooden lid covered with cloth wrapped in a net of orange chord made to hold tea leaves by Sugimoto Sadamitsu enclosed in the original signed wooden box. The appearance is deceptively large. Spectacular kiln effects live up to this artists reputation. It is 8 inches (20 cm) diameter, 8-1/2 inches (21.5 cm) tall plus lid. And in excellent condition....
