A beautiful Satsuma vase by Kinkozan, the foremost artist of the 'Golden Age' of Satsuma during the Meiji Period. In ovoid form with gorgeous relief butterfly and flower designs and a central band with floral rosettes on black. Kinkozan mark on base. Japanese Meiji Period Blue and White Arita Porcelain Sculpture of Jo and Uba, an old and wrinkled couple who care for the pine trees and gather needles in Takasago, (based on a Noh play). Jo is depicted with a rake and Uba with a broom of twigs. This famous couple symbolizes Marital Love and Fidelity, and were created by Arita porcelain masters to bring marital bliss to a home. Male: 14.5 inches (37cm) high, Female: 13 inches (33cm) high.

It is a rare, fascinating creation set in a silk brocade fabric box, with inlaid shibiyama style mother of pearl teak furniture. This is good-quality Yogi of Tsumugi-Silk used in the Tohoku district at the end of Edo period. Yogi which it is polychromatic, and was dyed is an upper item. This is Yogi used in the Tohoku district of Edo period. This is Yogi which a rich landscape gardener used. As for this, a pattern of the lower part is a bamboo fence. This has the W kirimon which twined Tang grass around the upper part. As for this, cotton is spun by hand. The bamboo fence which this is the indigo plant light and shade, and was drawn is very unusually precious. And the bamboo fence is drawn from the left to the right with a curve to be sunk. It resembles Koetu-Kaki...

Meiji 1868 - 1910, 1 5/8" high, 5 5/8" x 3 1/8" wide, low relief of double Gold and tarnished Silver design of Cherry flower pedals with multiple seeds lined up perfectly on the top, and one side shaded with silver leaf tarnished and the other side is in gold, low relief Pine trees with some shaded darker, some pure gold hidden here and there on the shaped sides, sparkled gold design inside the box and on the bottom...

A breathtaking work by Miyake Yoji enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Nuki-e Kinsai Sakura-mon Kaki. The unabashed use of gold on this piece is extraordinary. Quite large, it is 39 cm (15-1/2 inches) tall, 27 cm (11 inches) diameter and in excellent condition.
