Antique Japanese Sword or tachi with a black lacquered saya, fuchi kashira decorated with motifs of bamboo leaves (sasa), and an iron tsuba. The sword contains a signature which reads: Seki-za, Yoshida Kenkichi.

A rare carved ivory Netsuke in the form of a Lion or Karashishi, made in Japan in the Edo / Tokugawa period (1600-1868), probably during the 18th Century. Condition: Excellent - age yellowing and cracks - no damages or losses and no restoration. 4cm (1.6inches)long; 3.6cm (1.3inches) high; 2.4cm (0.9inches) deep. Vintage summer hitoe kimono made of a silk and hemp(asa) weave. It has a beautiful print pattern of orange blossoms and paulowni blossoms in blue/green, yellow, and silver. It would have been worn over the juban, the under robe, which would have been white to bring out the colors of the robe. It measures 61" long 51" wide. Showa period, 1950-1970.

A large standing esoteric protector deity known as Gozanze Myoo. The piece has darkened from the smoke of the goma offerings done for the image. The statue is posed doing the Gozanze mudra, which is the mudra of subjugation. Gozanze Myoo's name literally means the vanquisher of the three realms, where this myoo destroys foolishness and anger. A round studio ware vase done on a black base glaze with white covering areas of the vase with a bit swirled with black. The vase contains a signature that appears to read: Kotaro. Age: Late 20th century. Size: height 6.5" diameter 7"

A set of five ceramic tea cups with box used to serve sencha produced by Otagaki Rengetsu (1791-1875). The cups are in the form of lotus leaves and the exterior of the cups contain an inscription by Rengetsu, which generally translates: The willows, not in its disarrayed form, the branches not touching, yet branching out into the world. Age: Late 19th century. Size: diameter 2.3" height 1.5"

Japanese vase with a scenes of seven sparrows flying among crysenthemums in beautiful hues of purple, orange, green, blues and yellows. Vase contains a signature on the bottom with the name, Kinkosan. Some old repairs. Age: Meiji period. Size: Height: 12" Diameter: 8"

Signed Zohiko lacquer tea caddy. Decoration of Mt Fuji and pine tree in lake landscape on black ground. Pleasant textures, reminiscent of Zeshin, are imparted to the surface of Fuji-san and the pine tree. Zohiko mark inside the foot. Overall good condition with a couple inconspicuous small chips to the lacquer along the rim of the cover. Height, 3 inches (7.62 cm). Diameter 3 5/8 inches (9.21 cm)

Antique Japanese cloisonne vase with a Chinese archaic style decoration of dragons and other stylized animals on a variegated green ground. There are two decorative bands, one around the neck and one around the body. Silver mark and Ando mark on bottom. It measures 12" tall the base is 5" wide the mouth is 7" wide. Original wooden box (tomobako).
