Traditional Korean wooden funerary figure as the ornament for funeral bier called ‘sangyeo’ (ref.; https://folkency.nfm.go.kr/en/topic/detail/236 /, https://londonkoreanlinks.net/2012/07/07/korean-funerary-figures-pr/), late 20th century, approx. Jomon Zogan Vase made and signed by legendary Tatsuzo Shimaoka (1919-2007) in the 1980s who became Living National Treasure in 1996.

Tatsuzo Shimaoka was a Japanese mingei potter who studied under Shoji Hamada and later became the second Living National Treasure of Mashiko in Japan.
