SOLD Antique Mongolian traveler's knife and chopsticks set. The knife's sheath is made of wood and completely covered in silver repoussé designs of Buddhist symbols and inlaid with coral and turquoise florets. The handle of the knife and the chopsticks are made of bone.

This item was made in the Meiji era in Hirosaki prefecture, Aomori prefecture. Almost unused. All sashiko are hand-stitched. Indigo dyed cotton and shibori (Tie-dye) & sashiko stitch are wonderfully beautiful.

$975.00 Antique Himalayan tsha tsha (small votive plaque) depicting a red bodhisattva seated on a lotus throne. Tsha Tsha were cast of clay mixed with ground incense and sacred ash. They were dried in the sun and painted with polychrome pigments. Small votives like this one were left as offerings at spiritual sites along a pilgrim's route.

$880.00 It is a sashiko hanten from the Meiji era. All sashiko are hand-sashiko. It was made in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture during the Meiji era. The white thread is used to express indigo-dyed cotton-type dyeing with sashiko stitches. There is a little dirt. But it doesn't stand out. There is no damage. The condition is very good. Cotton is thick and feels good. It is a valuable gem. Size::length 70cm (27.6inch)
Large late Qing dynasty Guangxu period lidded porcelain ginger jar decorated in underglaze blue against a faint bluish-white background with four “shuangxi” symbols (indicating double-happiness and wedded bliss) surrounded by a stylized pattern of pencil style scrolling sweet pea flowers and vines (symbolizing “many children”). Japanese Meiji carved bamboo okimono figure of a standing Daruma (also known as Bodhidharma), the body wrapped in a draped robe covered in folds. A fly whisk emerges from the hidden folded arms and extends along the side of the head between one of the elongated earlobes with hoop earring and the furrowed brow. 8 3/4" high. Very good overall condition with typical minor wear. There are a few short cracks and one small chip at the base. From the Phoenix estate of a former Daruma collector.
