$425.00 Rare blue sharkskin porcelain tea caddy with a bird, flowers, and butterflies. The bird and butterflies are glossy and do not have the sharkskin texture giving this piece a beautiful contrast which was not an easy feat for the artist to achieve. The blue background graduates from light at the bottom to darker shade of light blue at the top. Signed and in excellent condition, it measures 6 inches tall with lid on.

Sold in our Liverpool shop - July 2014 / 利物浦店内售出 - 2014年7月 AA carved soapstone figure depicting a reclining Scholar; holding a fan in his right hand. This item was possibly made as an object for the Scholar's table and was made in China in the Qing dynasty, probably during the second half of the 19th Century (circa 1850-1900).
Condition: a 2.5cm area appear to have been chipped away (in front of the fan and below his right knee)- please view enlargements 5, 6 & 7; and there are small spots of red paint in places.

$245.00 Rare Javanese hand fan, made circa 1890 - 1905. The fan portion is a made of water buffalo hide that has been very ornately pierced, painted, and gold gilt. The delicate looking frame is made from water buffalo horn, which has been finely carved and curved. There are no condition issues save for a loose thread or two that can be clipped or reattached. Measures 10.25" by 9" across.

sold Antique copper letter opener with a Jadeite handle, with traces of gold gilt and overlaid silver hilt. The hilt is a small silver bat, a symbol of good luck. Carved on one side of the knife is a Chinese dragon and sun, on the other side is a phoenix or fenghuang with a long vine of berries and a flower.
