Ming dynasty 15/16 century Chenghua-Hongzhi period. Condition is good except two chips to mouth rim. Diameter: 14.8cm.
Rare and fine bronze sculpture of an unknown deity. Good patina, probably an excavated piece. H. 9 cm, W. 6 cm. Provenance: private collection Belgium.

Sold in our Liverpool shop - September 2014 / 利物浦店内售出 - 2014年9月 A green "Celadon" glazed dish or shallow bowl with flat bracketed rim. The centre is decorated with a moulded peony flower; surrounding this the thick green glaze is incised with stylized lotus scrolls. This item was made in the Longquan kilns, Zhejiang province circa 1400-1500 during the first half of the Ming dynasty.
