A dragon rides in a swirl of movement atop this silver and damascened Koro incense burner by Chosa Yoshiyuki. The sides are decorated with images of plum and pine. The bottom is signed Yoshi-saku, and bears the stamp 900 delineating the silver content. It is 5-1/2 inches (14 cm) tall, 3-1/2 inches (9 cm) diameter and in fine condition, enclosed in a period heavy kiri-wood box.

Chinese Famille Rose fine hand painted with overglaze enamel low relief Porcelain Pear shape Vase, 5" high, 3 7/8" wide-widest part, raised low relief design of butterflies, sprays of floral with geometric decoration on white porcelain body. Japanese 4-panel byobu folding screen, with a shochikubai or "Three Friends of Winter" motif (plum, pine, and bamboo), the image of a pheasant seated upon a jagged rock formation, with a small singing bird on the twisting trunk of the plum tree. The image was taken directly from a commemorative stamp which is affixed to the corner of the frame.

Beautiful vintage Japanese sodenashi (work vest) made with indigo sakiori (rag weave) cotton, woven with multicolor areas to create a lovely patchwork effect, edged in solid indigo cotton, reinforced along the back, sides, and back of the neck in sashiko stitching. These vests were traditionally worn by workers in mountainous regions.
