Korean Silla Kingdom (circa 6th century) unglazed reddish-gray stoneware funerary food vessel with domed cover on a high stem foot broadly flaring at the base and decorated with rectangular perforations. The lid is covered with incised designs and has a central finial. There are no cracks, chips, or repairs. The piece is in very good overall condition with minor imperfections consistent with its age. Wonderful Chinese Han Dynasty figure of a chimera. The mythical creature is whimsically posed with it's head turned over it's shoulder and it's mouth wide with it's tongue out. It's feet are hooves and on it's back are wings. Made of bronze and gilded, beautiful patina, eyes are made of inlaid turquoise.

Sold, Thank You Very Much Extremely rare Chinese early ceramic of Xing ware small shallow bowl, covered overall with white creamy ivory glazed. The base with single character of 'Guan' mark, which is very rare to find. From the other examples of Xingyao, it's probably late Tang to Northern Song Dynasty. Condition is perfect with no any chip, no any crack and free from any restoration. Diameter: 12,5 cm and Height: 4 cm.

Known as mingqui in Chinese, these figures were of servants, soldiers (in male tombs) and attendants such as dancers and musicians, with many no doubt representing courtesans. In burials of people of high rank there may be soldiers and officials as well.

Small wide mouth grey pottery jar with “soy” brown glaze from an unknown Southern Kiln. The glaze resembles Jizhou ware. Circa Song Dynasty or earlier, the body is quite thinly potted with delicate lugs near the mouth. There is fritting on the mouth and handle but no cracks or chips. H: 9cm/3.5in and D: 6cm/2.3in.
