A Rare celadon dish with finely balance potted, decorated incised with double five pointed star to the interior. Plain to the underside, mark of 'Chien' mean 'thousand' incised mark to the base. Condition with a very light hairline visible on 3 o'clock position, otherwise is perfect condition. Five dynasties to Northern Song period Yueyao. Diameter: 14 cm and Height: 3,4 cm.

An early vase by sculptural legend Yanagihara Mutsuo enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Heki-yu Tetsu-e Kabin. Hekiyu is a glaze made of copper and cobalt, which when fired takes on the color of Lapiz. In this case the Lapiz blue pours down over a tapering base of raw earth decorated with spiraling blades in iron glaze. It is 23.5cm (9 inches) diameter 27.5 cm (11 inches) tall and in excellent condition.

Wonderful Early to Mid Edo (17-18cc) Kuro Oribe Kutsugata Chawan (distorted tea bowl) for Tea Ceremony.

Clay covered with black dull glaze, of irregular form with unglazed foot ring and surrounding area. The old label on the box has the name Rinzo (林蔵) who was probably a potter or a tea master.

Early 20th Century rose quartz carving of 2 beauties. Made of one piece, it is difficult to find a double figure carving like this. Presented on a custom rosewood stand, this rose quartz carving has really nice details that we were not able to fully capture with a camera. It is much nicer in person and you won't be disappointed. In excellent condition, it measures on stand 10-1/2" high x 5" wide x 2". Carving alone measures 9-1/8" high.

A very rare early work by Shirakura Niho dating from the mid Taisho period clearly showing his early watercolor training under Ishii Hakutei signed with his first art name, Kinro. Light color on silk framed in patterned silk extended with classic beige and terminating in red lacquered wooden rollers. It is 45.5 x 107.5 cm (18 x 42-1/2 inches) and is in overall excellent original condition, enclosed in a modern wooden storage box.

Good Cizhou type high fired, well balanced, ovoid soy glazed with russet highlights jar from a northern kiln, circa- Five Dynasties to Northern Song. There is a possible chip on the outer mouthrim (see enlargement)- difficult to tell if this happened after firing or before. There are remnants of kiln supports on the concave foot. H: 9.6cm/3.8in and D: 10.3cm/4in.
