From an ancient Ayuthaya Collector: 18/19th Century BRONZE CHIENGSAEN BUDDHA Subduing Mara. Size: Height 30.5" x width 20" x depth 10.5". Fine old, original patina. This is one of the 3 Buddhas which belonged to the collector and which represents the Thai ideal of possessing the 3 most desirable images, i.e. UTHONG, CHIENGSAEN and SUKKOTHAI.

Good bamboo handled knife with hand forged blade from the Karen ethnic group Northern Thai/Burma border. Total length 31cm/12in with good sharp edge- small nick at the tip off the blade which could be honed out, about 60 years old.

A buff-terracotta vessel, with rounded body, tapering cylindrical neck with ribbed collar in relief and everted molded rim, the shoulder incised with concentric circle bands.
