18th Century Chinese Kangxi period Blue and White Porcelain deep scalloped rim Sauce Dish, Ca. 1661-1722, 4 1/8" diameter, 3/4" high, underglaze blue design of 8 panels of alternating with men fishing and Peony floral branches in the wide outer rim, and old man walking with tree branch tall walking stick on the river embankment in the center. Very tight glaze hairline on the top of the Pagoda design less than 1/2" long.

This is a Qing Dinasty, 18th Century, flattened rectangular with rounded shoulders form snuff bottle, rounded short neck, and flat oval footing. It is made from fossilized Tooth. Chinese miniature porcelain tea caddy with gold decoration. All the gold painting is intact and shows no wear which is pretty amazing. Dates mid to late 1700's, it is a fantastic little piece for the collector. In excellent condition, that is as originally made, the only imperfections are little pin pricks in the firing which is normal. This had a cork stopper which is inside the caddy. Measures 3" high x 2" wide x 1/2". Dates 2nd half 1700's.

A deeply carved Chinese cinnabar seal paste box measuring about 2.75 inches diameter and 1" high. It is a superb example of early bright red cinnabar lacquer. Being 225 years old, it has been very well kept. Dates circa 1780.

Circa 1750 Chinese export Nanking Cargo blue and white porcelain tea bowl and saucer. The cup and saucer were recovered from the wreck of the Dutch East India Company ship "De Geldermalsen", which sank in 1751 near Java. The recovered pieces from the wreck are now referred to as "The Nanking Cargo". Both cup and saucer still retain the original Christie's label from the auction held in Amsterdam in 1986. saucer measures 4.75ʺdiameter. Cup diameter is 3".Cup with saucer measures 2.25ʺ high

A wonderful large Japanese wood carved statue of an anthropomorphic tanuki. He holds a large mokugyo or temple bell with carved dragons in one hand and a lacquered drumstick in the other. Beautifully preserved, hand-carved antique piece.

A late 18th or early 19th Century Famille Rose enamelled jar made in China, probably for export, during the reign of the Jiaqing emperor. For comparison (of enamels) we have pictured two export Lion Joss Stick Holders (usually dated either late Qianlong or Jiaqing, circa 1800) in our last enlargement. Condition - very good - there are no damages and there has been no restoration. 16cm (6.3inches) high. Weight - 900gms (approx 2lb).
