A nice rare scalloped Liao plate, boldly incised with blossoms and leaves, under a cream and bright leaf green and amber glaze. Comes with a certificate from the Chinese Government Auction House. Size: Diameter. 13.5cm. Condition: A broken piece at the rim that was glued back on probably at the site. It is almost invisible on the front of the plate. See photos.

Lovely 14th-15th Century Sawankhalok bottle with two ear handles at shoulder with refined incised horizontal line markings. Glaze has a nice olive green color with some omission during glazing. Very beautiful Sawankhalok Celadon bowl with iridescent glaze. 14/15th Century. Foot and part of inside (middle ring only) unglazed, typical for stacked ware fired in kilns during this period to prevent bowls from sticking to each other. Condition perfect, no hairlines, chips nor repairs whatsoever. 19 cm. diameter, height 5.5 cm. Collector's item!

Thai 14th-15th Century Sawankhalok, Ayutthaya period, glazed ovoid shaped bottle flanked by two small ring ear handles at shoulder, and glazed in olive green celadon tones with horizontal linear markings. Nice shiny gloss to glaze falls short of base. Note slight chipping of glaze on one side. Height is 5 inches.

A large Tsubo with ruptured rim burnt to a mellow orange with a dusting of natural ash glaze on the shoulder by important Shigaraki artist Sawa Kiyotsugu enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Shigaraki Tsuboi. Comb marks sweep the surface like rake marks in a Zen garden, a meandering trail scored into the side like a mountain path. Vase in fine Satsuma earthenware enamelled in Osaka in Yabu Meizan's workshop at the end of the 19th century around 1890. The decoration is compartmentalized in 4 cartouches and represents the 4 seasons. The landscapes are meticulously painted, the details are surprisingly elegant and realistic. Fine earthenware vase of satsuma decorated with excellently drawn dancers. The positions of the bodies, the volumes and the perfect impression of movement announce a very good painter. Unfortunately it is anonymous because there is no signature. Good condition. Height about 40cm.

A jewel-like miniature ‘Imperial’ Satsuma vase, of baluster form with elephant head handles. One side is decorated with flowering lotus, the other with a gourd vine. The base has the signature Hogetsu beneath a blue Shimizu mon.

Approximately 9.7cm high. Perfect condition. Remarkably fresh looking with no wear to the enamels.
