14 images spanning two pages each are sandwiched between the silk binding of this two sided accordion album by Zen Priest Inaba Shinden enclosed in the original storage sleeve. The images span from Mount fuji to the Daruma to Zen Circles, each annotated with some verse or Buddhist anecdote. A powerful image of Padmasambhava also known as Guru Rimpoche, the reputed founder of Tibetan Buddhism. Carved mostly of a single piece of precious dark purple sandalwood (zitan). Remains of colours and gold. Tibet, 17–18th cent. H 15 cm. Condition: Very good but of course with wear due to age. The trident (khatvanga) is missing.

The wood carving piece was once used to decorate an ox cart, a primary mean of transportation in the old days in Myanmar. This ox cart ornament is decorated with a parrot and flowers.
