Rare Ming porcelain classic “eight trigram” design censer from the Jingdezhen kiln, with celadon glaze, on three small feet. This is easily mistaken for a stoneware Longquan ware, so please view last enlargements to see the white clay showing through the unglazed portion, unlike the grayish clay from Longquan. This piece is perfect condition. D: 13cm/5.1in and H: 5cm/2in.

Sold in our Liverpool shop - September 2014 / 利物浦店内售出 - 2014年9月 A green "Celadon" glazed dish or shallow bowl with flat bracketed rim. The centre is decorated with a moulded peony flower; surrounding this the thick green glaze is incised with stylized lotus scrolls. This item was made in the Longquan kilns, Zhejiang province circa 1400-1500 during the first half of the Ming dynasty. Price on Request Chinese heavily cast figure of Ananda standing on a lotus pedestal with gilt hands held in anjali mudra before his chest. His head and face are gilded with shaven head and pendulous ears framing a meditative expression and narrowed eyes. His long robes are incised at the hem with lotus blossoms. The upper portion of his body is in a kasaya with a finely chased lotus border. The patina shows it's sign of age.
