Pair of Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period ginger jars with domed lids decorated in bright famille verte enamels with paradise flycatchers among peony flowers, rockery, and flowering plants set against a yellow ground. A stylized ruyi form band extends around the circumference of the top. 7 3/4" high x about 7 1/4" diameter. Circa 1900. Very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. There is a small brown production flaw to one lid.

$140.00 A miniature vase, decorated in underglaze blue with garlands of grapevines. China, Yongzheng to early Qianlong, 18th century. Interestingly, the same decoration has been found on many of the blue and white plates in the cargo of Swedish East Indiaman Götheborg which went down just outside the town with that name in 1745. Height "3 ¼ / 8.3 cm. Condition: an old restoration overpaint to the mouth rim has been removed to leave just the filling (cf. pics).

Chinese Qing dynasty stem cup with everted rim decorated around the exterior of the cup with two faintly incised green five-clawed dragons chasing a flaming pearl set against an egg-yolk yellow background. A green phoenix is at the interior well. A six-character kaishu form underglaze blue Guangxu mark is at the bottom of the interior stem. Probably of the period and dating circa 1900. 3 3/8” high x just under 4 1/2" diameter; weighs 120 grams (4 1/4 ounces)...

1700.00 Chinese blanc de chine porcelain figure of the bodhisattva of compassion Quan Yin. She is sculpted lounging against an armrest with a lion's face. One of her delicate hands is emerged out from her robes, clutching a sutra scroll. The bodhisattva is easily identified by her large ear lobes and protruding third eye, attributes of an immortal being. Her backside is signed with a chop and a gourd shaped signature.

Price on Request Chinese porcelain planter in a squared form tapering slightly towards the base, incised with imagery of birds perching, grapes and coiling vines, blooming flowers against a yellow enamel ground. The upper and lower part of the planter with bands of archaic scrolls in cobalt blue. The rim has red floral scrolling motifs. The base is marked "China" in red. With dense carved wooden stand of an inverted lotus form.

Price on Request Rare Chinese eggshell thin Dingyao porcelain bowl, the interior molded with relief details of scrolling chrysanthemums and leaves. The sides of the bowl flare widely from the small and shallow foot and the rim left unglazed.
