Charming Chinese ink rubbing of a stone stele depicting a fat cat surrounded by rockery with holes and chrysanthemum flowers after a painting by Jiang Tingxi (1669-1732) that was based upon an earlier work by Ming artist Lu Ji (1477-1505). Vintage Chinese ink and color on paper painting by Zhang Kuan (1921-2009) of two ducks swimming among cherry blossoms. Signed in black ink at the upper left and with three red artist's seals. Zhang Kuan was an active painter for over 50 years. By the 1960s, he began to specialize in bird and flower paintings.
