A delicately cast fire gilt image of the Four-armed Avalokitesvara (Tibetan: Chenrezig; Chinese: Sibi Guanyin), the Bodhisattva who embody the Universal Compassion. seated in Dyana-asana on a lotus flower, with Amitabha head on top of the chignon, the upper hands holding a prayer beads and a lotus; the lower ones in worshiping Mudra ( Anjiali Mudra). Unsealed. Eastern Tibet, 17th cent. H 13 cm. Condition: very good, but with some rubbing to gilding, eyes and lips with rest of colours .

A Tibetan Bronze figure of Shakyamuni, 19th century or earlier.

Buddha sat in a mediative pose, one hand in his lap, the other connects to the earth. The head has been dressed with gold paint, the hair exhibits traces of blue. A good quality sculpture that seems to have had a hard life and has seen better days. There is a bruise to each upper arm, one larger than the other and some distortion to the bottom of the lotus base.

Approximately 9.5 cm high...
