Frame is made up of hinoki (cypress) wood and interior is made of kiri wood. Original finish with hand forged iron hardware. Single hinged door with iron reinforcement crossed the front.

$1,700.00 An antique Japanese Sendai Tansu in 2 sections made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods. All original hand forged iron hardware including the stylized Mokko handles. Urushi lacquer finish and Chrysanthemum incised lock plates. Hinged security door hides two small drawers where valuables were stored.

It can easily seat 6 -8 chairs depending on the size of the chairs. The legs and trim are a striated organic rattan with the top and leaves in walnut. Two original leaves included.
