Large Japanese Showa period circular form burlwood tray with raised sides made from a single piece of wood. 15 7/8” diameter x 2 1/4" high. The raised sides are 3/8" thick. Weighs just over 2 lbs. Likely dates from the first half of the 20th century. Very good overall condition. From the estate of a collector of Japanese mingei in Phoenix, Arizona. The original price tag remains on the bottom.

Soaring Birds (Titled in Japanese at lower left) Medium: Japanese Etching Date: 1982. Edition: 78/100. Signed "T. Ryohei" and dated in pencil. Paper size: 23.75 x 14.375 inches. Condition: Outer margin has slight toning. Japanese Meiji period wood eight-drawer ko-tansu (personal chest) with black iron lockplates and hirsute form handles. 19th century. 20 3/4" high x 14" wide x 13" deep. Weighs 18 lbs. Very good overall condition with only minor wear. The bottom drawer is locked shut and there is no key. The inside of the drawer can be easily accessed by removing the two drawers above it, but the drawer itself does not open. From a Phoenix, Arizona collection.

Age: 1944-1957 Dimensions: Paper size: 15 1/8" high x 10 1/4" wide Japanese Meiji period Genroku porcelain hibachi of cylindrical form finely decorated around the circumference in underglaze blue plovers flying over crashing foaming waves set against a white ground. The base holds the mark of “Tominaga Genroku sei” together with the Genroku Studio mark. Tominaga Genroku (1859-1920) opened the Genroku kiln in Saga Prefecture in 1888 with a goal of producing fine quality porcelain. Following his death, the kiln survived under his sons until at least 1934...
