Sold, Thank you! A very rare set of 5 sencha tea cups by porcelain legend Fukami Sueharu enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Kiji Kumidashi Wan (yellow Celadon Tea Cups). Each cup is 9 cm (3-1/2 inches) diameter, 6 cm (2-1/2 inches) tall and in excellent condition. There is a stain in the box between the title and signature.

$700.00 Large cast iron teapot. Very elegant decoration of Mon and stylized flowers. Seems very old to me perhaps ealier than Edo. Datation of iron is difficult. The bottom is broken and glued with resin. It is not usable for tea anymore.

$1,800.00 Cast iron teapot. Very deep decoration. Nice quality of cast iron. Unusual interesting decoration, meticulous details (fineness of the dragon ties of the handle). Signed in relief on the back and under the lid. Difficult to date. Meiji or Edo ? only the translation of the signature could tell us the artist and the period. The handle inlaid with plants in silver.
Good condition.

SOLD. Jizo Bosatsu standing upon a lotus-form dais with hands holding a hoju (sacred jewel), sculpted in relief against a cruciform motif from granite. Mid-Edo Period ca. 1750. Minor old loss and overall softening of the lines and contours.
Height: 37 cm An intriguing Jizo Bosatsu with cruciform motif, suggesting a possible kakure-kurishitan (hidden Christian) provenance.

Sold, thank you! Rivulets of ash dribble down the red earth sides of this vase by Nishiura Takeshi enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Echizen Henko. Positioning in the kiln, with one shoulder angled toward the flame, ensure the lip and one rounded corner are charred in that distinct ocher inidicative of the region. Elsewhere the ash is molten green. A great example of this lesser known ancient kiln site. The vessel is 18 x 13 x 17.5 cm (7-1/2 x 5 x 7-1/2 inches) and is in excellent condition...
