Antique Japanese two section isho tansu from the Sakata region, made with gorgeous Keyaki (elm) wood in original reddish brown finish.
Each drawer has an iron lock incised like a flower over crossing leaves.

sold thank you This is decoration cloth used in Iwate for Edo period. This is dyed in indigo plant, black, Bengara- color. Hemp thread is spun by hand and this is thick. The back side is dyed into this with a natural indigo plant.
This is cloth for ceremonies of the celebration. This has few stains, but there is not the damage. The state is complete. Size 542cmx 25cm (214 "x 9.8")
