Korea, early Joseon period, 18th-19th century, with fitted wooden box.
The characteristic deep bowl with a flat interior bottom and recessed well set on a
ring foot and with gently everted rim, the base glazed, decorated evenly with a beautiful light blue tinged white glaze, .
It’s in very fine condition. it measures 3.5” h. x 6” d. (8.9 cm x 15.3 cm).

Korea,Joseon dynasty, 19th century.
The bowl applied with a beautiful light blue-tinged white glaze with warm
and clear glaze evenly overall, set on a slightly flared high ring foot and with
slightly everted mouth rim, its base glazed in white glaze but a foot rim unglazed.
It’s in good condition but a small chip on its foot rim,
it measures approximately 5.5” d. x 3.75” h. (14cm x 9.5cm),

SOLD A Large/Rare/Fine Korean Copper-Red/Bue Hae-Tae Water Dropper-19th C.: Korea, Joseon dynasty, late 19th century.
An unusual large carved in the form of Hae-Tae (sea lion) with curling tail and hairs, its open round jaw forming the spout, decorated in coppter-red on the mane, and in blue on the ears, its neck wearing a large neck belt with bell, the body glazed thick white with slight tinges of blue, unglazed on the flat base.
It’s in very fine condition without any repairs or cracks...

Incised with diagonal lines to indicate veins and painted in underglaze blue, the pointed tip,
and three stylized flowerheads below the tip in painted underglaze copper-red, and
stem painted in underglaze iron-oxide, also covered by a glossy translucent glaze...

Amusingly molded as a recumbent figure of a mythical lion-dog, the surface details
incised and realistically molded, decorated in a washy underglaze blue beneath
a white glaze, the base unglazed.
It’s in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs,
it measures in inches:3” L. x 2 3/8” w. x 1 3/8” h. (7.5cm x 6cm x 3.5cm).

This epitaph was written upon the passing of Park Gi Il of Miryang in May 1830. It memorializes him and lists his ancestors' names. An important piece of history and a rare and beautiful work of calligraphy painted with blue cobalt on white porcelain. 7.5 x 6 inches, 19 x 15 cm. framed
Spoils of Time
Sold A Korean blue and white porcelain water dropper. Cube form with bracket feet on the four corners, a spout along the top edge on one side, and a whole (for displacement) near center top. Painterly floral decoration within line border on the sides. Geometric flower head decoration on the top. Stable cracks, a couple surface chips, and loss to the spout. All dimensions about 2 1/4 inches (5.715 cm) except for the height which is about 2 1/8 inches (5.39 cm). Joseon dynasty.
