Pair of Korean late Joseon Dynasty square form wood wedding chests on fixed stands with metal loop handles on three sides. The lids open to reveal a nice sized storage space. A white brass rectangular plate is on the front and and holds a fish lock. Brass and white brass (nickel) hardware accents decorate the edges. Late 19th century. Each measures about 17 1/4" high x 18 1/4" wide x 17 1/2" deep. Very good overall condition with typical wear from use...

It’s rare antique norigae(노리개) pendant. The pendant of knotted silk cord with some gilt-metal wiring, silver ring & wire, engraved gilt-metal blossom, coral bead and a carved jade butterfly as seen in photos.
It’s in very good condition without any piece lost but some surface wear and a light discoloration as shown.

The jar measures, with lid, about 9 3/4" high x 8 1/2" in diameter, and the mouth opening is 3 5/8" across. The lid appears to be original to the Jar. The Jar is in good condition. There are several chips on the underside of the lid, and around the mouth, and there is a 1/4" kiln crack on the mouth...

This seven feet tall Antique Korean Trident is the only Joseon Dynasty Trident ever offered for sale. The few existing examples are all in museums in Korea. Only Korea has this type of trident with the small round iron cymbals under the fork for scaring off tigers and other wild animals. The shape of the fork is also uniquely Korean. The Chinese trident has much rounder corners. 82 inches (208 cm) tall, 8.5 inches (21.5 cm) wide.

The box is cut out of one block of red soapstone measuring about 4 3/4"w x 3 5/8"d x 3"h. The red block is marbled with white and gray grains and spots. The top of the box is inlaid with the Chinese character for double happiness. The condition is very good with no repairs. There are some small chips from use, and the largest loss is to the side of one of the feet...
