A large beautiful and rare pair of colorfully glazed peacocks which were Vietnamese temple birds. The glaze is still vibrant and the sculpturing is very finely executed. Age: Mid 19th century. A fine 18th century Chinese molded celadon-glazed porcelain dish, finely decorated around the center with stylized archaistic dragons encircling a central roundel of a lotus flower, a band of key-fret pattern around the foliated rim, covered overall in green glazed. DATE : Qianlong (1736 - 1795). SIZE : D = 24 cm. CONDITION : perfect condition, no chips, no cracks, no hairlines and no repairs.

A very rare nicely moulded vase with a long ribbed neck that flares to a hexafoil rim. The hexagonal body is moulded with bands of flowers. The lower band has alternating patterns of lotus flowers and lotus leaves. There are two lion masks at opposite sides at the shoulder. The vase is covered in a light olive-grey glaze. Period: Yuan - 13th/14th Century Size: Height = 14.4 cm (5-11/16 inches) Condition: Tiny barely noticeable chip at the rim of the mouth otherwise perfect.

This is one of the earliest and rarest original types of vases made in Vietnam. It has a rich chocolate brown glaze with beautiful drippings going down to the base. A Ming statue of Quanyin glazed in cream, green and ochre glazes (san-ts'ai). The Guanyin is seated on a rock formation with lotus flowers above a rectangular pedestal. Formerly she was flanked by two disciples - there is one remaining but missing and the other is missing its head and hands...
