Sold A lovely wood carving of a dancing Hindu goddess, the face and the sarung meticulously painted. Provenance: from the same estate like the Peranakan sarung. Condition: some cracks, paint with few losses and wear. Dimension: c. 30 cm high.
A Laotian figure of Buddha Shakyamuni, made of cast bronze with dark patina. Depicted seated in meditation on an undecorated pedestal, the right hand in bhumisparsa and the left in dhyana mudra. The curly hair is ending in the ushnisha with flame ornament, his face in the typical naive style. Condition: old small loss to the flame and one foot of the pedestal (therefore not perfectly even). Backside with some casting flaws. Dimension: c. 24.1 cm high x 12.5 cm wide x 8.5 cm deep, weight: 1800 g.
