$6950.00 Very serene Lacquer SHAN STATE Buddha Head with traces of gilding. Hollow, mounted on removable temporary base. Ushnisha-Flame also removable and probably from a later date. Very good condition. Size: H. 44 cm. x W. 22 cm. x D. 19 cm. Large size Buddha heads such as this one have become very rare and difficult to find.
In bhumisparsa mudra (calling the earth to witness). Carved in hardwood, then lacquered and gilded. H. 52 cm. Condition: wonderful original condition with expected age wear.

A very fine gilded bronze Buddha, sitting on Naga. H. 17 cm. Condition: Casting flawa, chips to the foot rim, the Naga head, which used to be behind the Buddha head, is missing. Nevertheless a very attractive piece with a serene expression.
