This image of a horse stands with it's mane billowing with bits of color and metalic leaf. The head of the horse is patterned with colors while most of the body remains a dapple of charcoal and white. In the background, a series of thin circular lines accent a metalic leaf sun or moon. **Sold** to Taiwan, August 2018 A rare bronze (copper & tin alloy) incense burner in the form of a Qilin made in China during the late Ming period.
Condition: the cover is missing and there is a small hole in the base; there is copper oxidation inside the tail and there are traces of the original black lacquer coating between its scales and in some of the recesses. / 6 inches high; 15 cm / 6 inches across. sold Japanese antique inro with one compartment, carved of wood and lacquered a very dark brown. On one side, a silvery bat flies through the air. On the other side, a fishing net hangs to dry on a fence. The fishing net is done in gold lacquer and the fence is made of shell inlay. The inside of the inro case is lacquered a deep red with gold edging.

SOLD Antique Tibetan trunk with lid, hand-painted in pigments of red, green, orange, yellow, and gold. The front of the chest with a dragon medallion, surrounded by blooming flowers, smoke, scrolling motifs and auspicious symbols. The lid is secured shut by a front clasp and metal rings attaching it to the body of the trunk.

$4200.00 This is a beautiful rare Japanese Cloisonne tray. If it were not signed, many would attribute this fine piece to the workshop of Namikawa Sosuke. The workmanship on this piece exceeds that of many other cloisonne trays to be seen with roosters or chickens. The tray measure just under 11 by 11 inches.
