Chinese vintage belt hook carved in the form of a dragon's head curled to face a crouching chimera with scrolling vines in his jaws. On top of the chimera's back is a bat and coin representing good fortune. The jadeite is very beautiful in color and ranges from a pale, almost white starting at the head of the dragon and gradates to a bright orange color with a steak of bright green in the center. This is an original elaborately handcarved softwood corble of a majestic Chinese Fu-Dog or lion dog guardian. Original joints on its top and side that would have kept it into place.
